The ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ is a novel political coalition that champions the nationalistic integrity of all people in Sri Lanka. Its inception saw 7 political parties coming together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the 27th of May 2024. The parties include the Mawbima Janatha Party led by Entreprenuer Dilith Jayaweera, National Freedom Front led by Member of Parliament Wimal Weerawansa, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya led by Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila, the Democratic Left Front led by Member of Parliament Vasudewa Nanayakkara, the Communist Party led by Dr. G. Weerasinghe, the Yuthukama National Organisation led by Member of Parliament Gevindu Kumaratunga’s and the collective of Independent MPs represented by Member of Parliament Prof. Channa Jayasumana.
